Final

New face, new identity
No matter people admit it or not, but one of the survival rules of this world is: better looking people get significantly more positive attention in many aspects of their life. This is rude, but a serious truth. People realize this matter of fact and find their way to cover come it- cosmetic surgery, an efficient and useful way to seek for their ideal perfection.

Here’s a problem. What is the definition of perfection? The evidence and report shows, different ethnic groups have their own preferences. For example, Asian people prefer pale skin; whereas, American people prefer the opposite. One thing I have noticed is Asian people try their best to get themselves as pale and bright as they can; on the other hand, Americans uses every method they can think of including getting sunburn under the sun and tanning bed they might cost skin cancer to satisfied their ideal beauty.

Then the preference comes down to cosmetic surgery. The number of the surgery increases rapidly in past few years. In the newest report, 53% of woman and 49% of man have said they approve of cosmetic surgery. 27% of married Americans and 33% of unmarried Americans would consider the surgery for themselves, now or in the future. And the most interesting date is that between ages of 18 and 25 are the group that most likely to consider plastic surgery.

Cosmetic surgery has become a modern trend. This trend leads us to a deeper psychology aspect. Every individual is born to be special and different; but the cosmetic surgery and the plastic surgery degenerate the identity. Asian people dislike their typical unique eyes. Many girls are more comfortable with double eye- lids and prominent nose. They try their best to look like foreign. I haven’t heard any example og Americans want to look like Asians but some of the American girls want to make themselves certain way like top models on TV.

There is nothing wrong for people to pursue their idea. However, by doing this, the world would become very boring. Western and Eastern faces are emerging slowly. This is a scary fact. One day, when people all have their dreamy perfect look, there would be lack of identity and everyone’s face would be alike. So? Some people might ask. So us human being will lose something inside us. We would not realize the pride and confidence and forget slowly about who we are and why we are here because we are emerging to the perfect shadow of this world.

The numbers show that between ages of 18 to 25 are the group that most likely to consider plastic surgery. This is an interesting fact because if reflects that young woman has more desire to seek for changes. However, before considering cosmetic surgery, we should pause and be serious about the consequences. Yet, people may look gorgeous and amazing after they get done the surgery. However, after 10 and 20 years, what will he or she looks like? What if the cosmetic surgery fail and the ruined face could never turn back just like Micheal Jackson’s? Why do we have to look like someone else but not satisfied with other own identity? These are some essential factors people have to think about before getting their change for the rest of their life.

Huge Plastic Disasters

Donatella Versace, If there were ever a case of overkill, you would need to look no further than Donatella Versace. In her pre-surgery state, Versace a masculine looking, yet slightly attractive woman whose appearance could've easily been softened with some good old-fashioned makeup. Instead she went the plastic surgery route to make herself over to resemble the stereotypical hot blonde in the vein of Barbie.

Usually when plastic surgery goes wrong, it results in the person who underwent it either looking strange, unnatural, or unrecognizable. Versace is probably one of the few victims whose doctors managed to enhance her worst features and in the process, make her less attractive than she was before. These days, Versace is becoming so cartoonish that many are comparing her to Janice the Muppet from the Muppet Show. It sounds like nothing more than a crude exaggeration, but a side by side comparison of them both shows that there's more than a litle bit of truth to the comparison.

Pete Burns, Living according to his belief that his face is an artform, the former frontman of the 80s band Dead and Alive has pursued a seemingly endless round of plastic surgeries to drastically alter his appearance. Unfortunately, the popstar got more than he bargained for when he had lip augmentation done back in 2002. The pop star suffered such severe allergic reactions to the lip fillers that were implanted that he became very ill to the point of near-death. (His condition was so severe that a few doctors suggested amputation of his lips and jaw.) Burns eventually recovered from his ordeal and successfully sued his surgeon for malpractice.

The Dark Side

MELAINE YOUNG WAS BLOND, PRETTY AND POPULAR; HER FATHER WAS RICH, powerful and the head of a Hollywood studio. On weekends she went to parties with her parents and met the movie stars of the day. ''But whatever I had, it wasn't enough,'' says Elaine, now 53 and a partner in a successful Beverly Hills real estate firm. ''The women are so beautiful here. There's so much of everything that you get insecure no matter how good a personality you have or how many men like you. You think, 'I gotta look better.' There's so much competition.'' By the time she was in her early 20's, Elaine was a superstar realtor, finding homes for Elvis, Johnny Carson, Paul Newman, Elizabeth Taylor and scores of other celebrities, including Gig Young, to whom she was married for five years. Then the doctor just ignored the phone call from the failur patients which had signed the agreement on "wave of failur process resposibility." This is a huge risk a plastic surgery patient has to take before getting surgery done.

Michael Jackson

So talking about Plastic Surgery, Michael Jackson is the person that we can't miss on this topic. For many years,  fans looked on as Michael Jackson radically tahsformed his appearance. His addictiveness of Plastic Surgery and the seek of better looking finally lead him to a tragic looking face.

"He had multiple surgeries," says Dr. Wallace Goodstein, who worked beside Jackson's surgeon in the 1990s. "He came in approximately every two months. It was about 10 to 12 surgeries in two years, while I was there."
As for the specifics, says Goodstein, Jackson "had multiple nose jobs, cheek implants pale skin, and he had a cleft put in his chin. He had eyelid surgery ... You name it he had it." Goodstein also opines that Jackson underwent operations that he never should have: "He had so many things that were inappropriate."

A Decade of Boosting Brest Size

It's a fact that people in America, and not just men, idolize big breasts.
" Breast implant operations have surged 40 percent in the past decade, with nearly 300,000 women last year opting to increase their breast size. Last year surgeons performed 296,203 breast implants, a 2 percent increase over 2009 and a 39 percent jump since 2000. Women in the Mountain and Pacific states are most likely to seek breast enhancement, accounting for nearly 40 percent of procedures."

People like to look beautiful, but at the same time, it is pity that we can't just love who we are. Women pursue the procedure only for two reasons: to satisfied themselves and to impress men. There are some young women that feel discomfort and lower self- confidence with their small breast therefore getting a cosmetic surgery is understandable and reasonable. We should live and do what makes us happy.

Moreover, man surely like to look at beautiful breast. This is another essential reason why women pursue this surgery: to attract man. However, if a man insist insist a woman should have big breast, the women should think about what is the vanity attracted  to the this kind of man in the first place.

The increasing of cosmetic surgery.

" There is more evidence than ever before show that better looking people get significantly more positive attention in many aspects of their lives."

Cosmetic and Plastic surgery rapidly increase in past few years. Psychologists analyze that this is a sign of the growing "self- centered" in human being; simultaneously the economists say the trend of Cosmetic surgery is the sign of economy growing. The surgery has now become a popular, low cost procedure for human being to find there own ideal beauty.

Without doubt, Cosmetic surgery has become a benefit for man and woman. " One of the most popular surgeries is an operation to lift woman's buttocks, because they like curve." Said the plastic surgery doctor in Manhattan. " Cosmetic Surgery will help me return to the pre-pregnancy shape the I felt comfortable with before." A woman in the doctor's office said. Yet, everyone has the desire to seek for beauty and plastic surgery is one of the most efficient way to do so. However, as people trying to seek for perfection and beauty, the procedure has made the society lacking of self and culture identities.
